I love this idea. My questions is how to line up the 45 degree angle with the ruler. Is it the straight line on the ruler on the long side of the fabrici?. Or rather the line across from the pointed part of the ruler.

Be sure you put ...
Be sure you put your ruler on the sewn line of the quilt and not on the edge.  They will be squares!

Wow This is so cool. I love how simple you make things like this. Oh by the way your turning me into a lefty. Just kidding my Dad was left handed and I have no problem learning from a lefty. I know to turn things, but I'm also able to cut left handed. Thank you for the great ideas.
