UK plugs are ...
UK plugs are actually the safest and most secure as they contain a fuse, the earth is the last to disconnect and it is very hard to accidentally pull them out, this is a trade off to its humungous size. So this is really good because it fixes this problem, but I imagine it is not as simple as designing it - it needs to be thoroughly tested for safety before production and I imagine it will be a much larger cost than sticking on a standard plug so this may make it hard to convince manufacturers

It never will exist in the form shown it this video, it is just too dangerous and completely illegal. The new MU charger shares some of the design features, but it is a CHARGER not a PLUG! To make it safe the wings are reversed, making it 40% thicker and making the multi-way adaptor impossible. But there is still no space for a fuse to be safely fitted, so it cannot become a general purpose plug which is legal in the UK.
